Directions to JMC, Parking
No matter which direction you're coming from, there is an easy way to get to downtown San Diego to enjoy the San Diego Symphony Orchestra at the Jacobs Music Center, and plenty of places to park. (Follow this link for directions to The Rady Shell.)
While you're here, make a full afternoon or evening of your outing by visiting one of several nearby Downtown eateries for a quick snack or full meal.
From North of Downtown on I-5
As you come into downtown San Diego, exit 10th Avenue, and turn right on B Street. Symphony Hall is on the NE corner of 7th and B.
From South of Downtown on I-5
As you approach downtown San Diego, exit Pershing/B Street, and make a left off the freeway to B Street. Symphony Hall is on the NE corner of 7th and B.
From North of Downtown on Hwy 163
Take Hwy 163 all the way into downtown San Diego, where it turns into 10th Avenue, and turn right on B Street. Symphony Hall is on the NE corner of 7th and B.
From I-8 West or East
Exit to Hwy. 163 South, and follow the directions above.
Please note: There is a Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) trolley stop just a few blocks from the Jacobs Music Center. The Fifth Avenue stop (C Street between Sixth and Fifth) serves both the Blue Line and the Orange Line.
- Free metered street parking near the Jacobs Music Center is available after 6pm Mon-Sat and all day Sunday. Be sure to cramp your wheels when parking on an incline, as this does get frequently enforced downtown.
- Prepaid Parking will be available at three venues: the 701B Parking Garage, the Sixth & A Parking Garage and the 707 Broadway/Chase Building Parking Garage. See your Prepaid Parking availability options near the Jacobs Music Center.
VALET PARKING
Valet parking, provided by ABM Parking, is available for all Friday and Saturday evening Jacobs Masterworks concerts. Valet parking is located on B Street in front of Symphony Towers.
Sunday valet parking is available in front of the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse on A Street, north side of the Jacobs Music Center.
Please allow yourself additional time to park when driving.
